Philippians

Author: The apostle Paul

Date: A.D. 61, likely from Rome, during Paul's imprisonment (Phil 1:13-14).

Paul knew suffering and Paul knew true joy, and he knew joy through suffering. This highly relevant letter to his kind friends in Philippi writes to encourage them as they face increasing persecution. "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!"(Phil 4:4)
